Generally speaking, a foreigner is not allowed to purchase land in Thailand.
There are some exceptions, for instance, a foreigner may invest in Thailand US$ 1 million, approximately, and possibly get permission to purchase land for residence. A foreign company is also allowed to purchase a piece of land for factory use after receiving permission from The Board of Investment (B.O.I.).
